A series of events...

Okay, before I get a tsk-tsk-ing from Leishia for blog negligence again, here's another post!!

Been a very busy week last week, starting from Tuesday onwards. First, had an event which my department was hosting, so that took up most of my time from Tuesday till Thursday. Very thankfully, we were given a day off on Friday! =) So I ended up going to KL to meet with my ex-colleagues and settle a few things at the research centre. Looks like I'll need to go back again to tie up a few more loose ends, so... lunch anyone?? Hehe! *winks*

Saturday was in church for a few hours. Started with tambourine class, from which I left after less than an hour into it! Had to go upstairs to oversee the rehearsal for Pentecost Sunday performance. In case you're wondering, it turned out GREAT!! Praise the Lord! It was unbelievable!! I'm soooo proud of all of them... Erm, although... if anyone of you sees this, you have to remember to smile, hehe! *winks* *grinz*

Pentecost Sunday was great!! Someone I know was baptised in the Holy Spirit. A couple of ex-colleagues attended the service and saw the performance, which they thought was great by the way (Kudos y'all!!) Got results for a course I took and I did quite alright. Church camp is next week!!

The past week was so long, yet at times it moved along so quickly... I actually thought on Saturday that the next day was Monday! Even started thinking about what I had to do on Monday! Haihz... dsshh!!

Save Elmo Campaign!!

Yes, the long awaited Save Elmo Campaign is going to be published!!! *drumroll*

First, a little bit of background...

Once upon a time, there was a regular member of YAC1... let's call him 'LS'. When YAC meetings were held at ML's house, LS would seek out the cute little red Elmo, and once finding it, he will hold on to Elmo for the rest of the night. So one fateful evening, a few members of YAC1 decided to launch the Save Elmo Campaign... and this is the result...
[Please click on the image to enlarge...]

~The "Save Elmo Campaign" would not have been possible without the efforts of YAC1, as well as the help of Photoshop-guru, Isaac... Much thanks!!~

~This is an amateur effort... Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions for improvement, etc.~

*Erm... how to enlarge the picture without distorting the image ah?? Anyone have any ideas?

Of weekdays and weekends...

Do you know what day it is TODAY??

Last Friday night (Satay night... yeah, SATAY night) at cell group meeting, right in the middle of the discussion we were having while chomping on the yummy satay, I got a call... My phone was on silent mode lah! It was buzzing away and seeing that it was a cell member, I thought it was going to be a typical conversation asking where we were meeting that night (I must look like an information kiosk... sighz)

Interestingly, the first thing the caller said was, "Kim ah... is today... Thursday or Friday ah??" *slap forehead!!* "Erm... Friday..."

That was Friday night...

At 7:30AM the very next morning, my mom suddenly came into my room and said hurriedly, "Oi, wake up!! 7:30 already... still sleeping ah?! No need to go to work ah??" *sweat* "Mom, it's Saturday lar..."

Blog Negligence??? Guilty as charged...

Yes, Leishia, guilty as charged for blog negligence...

Look out for the post on the "Save Elmo Campaign"... brought to you by the combined efforts of YAC1 on Movie night!! (Yes, Kenrick, it's coming... soon!!)

Other happenings in the past week include...
... having been put on the spot (again!!) cos people forget that I CANNOT speak Mandarin - I'm soooo applying for the Spoken Mandarin course (dunno if I'll get approval to go since it's 2 months long *shudder*)
... sick-sick-better-sick-worse-sick-recovering still
... completed the draft of my Job Description (yeah... I'm writing my own Job Description, haha!!)
... fallen asleep at work (hey, reading guidelines is no fun, okay! and perhaps it's all the meds I've been ingesting, sighz)
... late for work (stuck in traffic for slightly over an hour... I did not leave from home late)

Wish list... I wanna see Shrek 3 and Pirates of the Carribean 3. Anyone interested? And, most importantly, anyone got tickets??? *grinz*

I have a cubicle!!

It's been a little while since my last post. Just reported in to my 'new job' mah... So far, things have been both up and down. I got my leave approved for camp, and then after yesterday's internal meeting, it was decided that all leave applications were to be handled by our direct superiors and not the department head (who'd already approved my leave for camp)!! Thankfully, my direct superior was alright with it, so praise God!! I get to go for camp, yay!! Just praying and hoping that nothing pops up between now and then, so that I really get to go!! Pray with me, ya?

Am currently filling a position in 'Technical Management Unit'. Sounds so glamour-rama, right? But it seems the job scope is a whole lot of ISO documentation work, i.e. paperwork! And I'm all by my lonesome in that unit... *shudder* However, I was still granted an opportunity to train to be certified as an auditor... praise God! And, because I'm the only one to be trained for certification, I have to now prepare my own training schedule and make sure I get trained... ironic! So... faster finish training, faster get certified, faster get to do different stuff at work lor!

Ah yes... I have a cubicle!!! I can 'hear' Vino singing the cubicle song as I type this, haha! Well, I'm 'well provided for' here... Own cubicle, own computer, own desk, own chair, own drawer... Even an extra chair at my table for 'guests', haha! Yeah, pretty well taken care of lar... no complaints!! *grins* (Don't worry, I haven't forgotten you bunch back at the research centre!!! Let's do lunch sometime, yeah?)

From KL to PJ...

Yesterday was my first day back at the regulatory centre, after I left when I'd completed my housemanship. God has been good thus far, not only in granting me my first choice for posting location (the regulatory centre), but also my first choice in departments to work in. Now workplace is closer to home and the line of work is something I'm passionate about. I should be satisfied, I know, but I'm gonna be praying for yet another miracle... So pray with me yeah, that I'd be able to get leave approved to go for Church Camp!! I've been looking forward to going, and even more since Lovy said she will be able to come along. Prayers are pre-requisites for miracles, so Pray Until Something Happens (P.U.S.H.)!!

Pangkor Trip : 12th - 25th April 2007

Pangkor trip has come and gone. Still so tired from the extremely LONG two weeks which was lectures and activity packed from the time you woke up till you went to sleep at night. The only rest in between that you got was if you managed to catch a few winks after grabbing an extremely quick lunch, or just catch a few (and hopefully not get caught) during the lecture. Of course another good opportunity is when we have taichi sessions for morning excercise, haha! But who likes to sleep standing up, right?

Here are some highlights from the trip... The more 'exciting' parts anyways!

<<= Some Chinese temple with a mini-Great Wall and huge arapaima fishes in their pond. Stumbled upon a section where they kept lots of tortoises too, but didn't have a chance to take any pictures

<<= Kota Belanda (Dutch Fort)

<<= Karaoke night (supposedly with one of the lecturers, who didn't join in eventually!)

<<= The first room I stayed in (really old and small)

<<= The new room I moved into

<<= Me and the coolest roomie a girl could ask for

<<= My group (behind us is our erm... 'masterpieces')

<<= Few pics from Malam Mesra

<<= Kem Kesihatan (Health Campaign) at Kampung Sungai Pinang Kechil, Pangkor Island, Perak
